About

Embracing Life Ministry

Embracing Life Ministry seeks to connect pregnant and parenting teens with Christ- following mentors in order to teach valuable parenting skills while sharing the life-changing love of Jesus.

Ministry Goals:

To build relationships with these parents based on grace and acceptance while freely sharing the hope found in Jesus

To provide godly mentors to the parents

To teach parenting and life skills

To encourage completion or furthering of education

To encourage the move toward independent living

To encourage church attendance and small group studies

To assist with physical needs, i.e. diapers, wipes, clothing, etc.

To celebrate and honor these parents’ brave choice to “embrace life” through
special events and outings designed for their enjoyment

Our Group Nights:

Teen moms and mentors meet twice a month for group nights. They enjoy dinner, socialize, listen to special speakers, learn parenting skills, enjoy group time, and participate in crafts. The children are cared for and taught the love of Jesus by volunteers in our childcare room.

Small Group Studies:

We provide further opportunities for our moms to grow in their knowledge of the Lord through small group Bible studies as well as encouraging attendance at other ongoing groups such as MOPS.

Outings:

Outings outside of group nights create deeper relationships with each other and give the moms experiences that they may not otherwise be able to have with their child. Visiting the zoo, pumpkin patches, children’s museums and The Lights of Christmas are just some of these special outings.
